My Claim to Fame

Sure I’ve been on TV for decades.  I’ve had stories on major networks and done live reports for CNN.  I have a TV show that reaches 82 million households.  That’s all great.

But this.  This is really cool!

A picture I took while on an episode made it into a desk calendar!  How cool is that?!  And I even got credit.  It’s the little things, isn’t it?

I took this picture while we were staying at a hotel in Boston.  It made me feel safe and secure, so I took the pic and posted it on Instagram with the hashtag You Had One Job.

The people who put the yearly calendar together contacted me and asked if they could use it.  Of course!

September 27 of next year is my day!  I know you’ll all be looking forward to it.  You can buy the calendar on Amazon. I get no kickbacks.  I got nothing for the photo aside from my intense pride of making it into a calendar.  🙂

There’s a lesson in this to capture life’s little moments.  Like I said, it’s the little things.  This was just a small, humorous thing that I could have just giggled at and then ignored.  But I thought it was funny enough to take a picture of and share with the rest of the world on Instagram.  I didn’t know someone creating a calendar would be looking for things like I posted.  I created a reminder on my phone to buy the calendar.  The reminder popped up, I bought the calendar and now I have a fun little story.  It’s not a big deal, but it’s a moment.  Life is made up of moments.  Don’t wait for them to happen.  Create them.

Here’s the original picture.  Safety first!
